Edo Japanese architecture: Japan has always been a pretty well off country, keeping itself mostly self sustainable, isolating itself in most cases. This tactic lead them to become very prosperous. Yes, so prosperous indeed that in the Edo period, many great families where building themselves massive, and sometimes gaudy, castles. Some castled are even said to be plated in real gold.
One of my odes today is to Ancient, Edo style Japanese architecture.
I would also like to touch on the ample nature and beautiful landscapes that it offers. Never being there myself I have but pictures to use so, Ive compiled a good selection of pictures.
