Description

found him in my basement skulking on a pipe above the washing machine
immediately i noticed he was rather large, about 1/2 inch in length, and was fuzzy like a tarantula
it wasn't until i had captured him and put him into a makeshift lightbox (which consisted of a saucepot and an old fashioned daiper) that i had noticed his super green fangs..very intimidating

and yes this is a capture and release program, i put him back into my basement to hunt the kind of bugs we dont like in the house =)

That's good that you put HER(yes, this is a female)back in the basement to kill insects. This little lady is a "Daring Jumping Spider", Phidippus audax, not a tarantula at all, or even related to them. She's really fat, so she's probably going to drop an eggsac soon. All Jumpers in the Phidippus genus have irridescent green, blue or copper fangs, for some reason.
